How would the scholarship help you?
It would be an amazing opportunity that would greatly help me to concentrate fully on my studies, and such an amazing conclusion to my time at ACG Strathallan.
ACG’s founders were lifelong educationalists. What makes a good education, in your opinion?
One which will leave students feeling satisfied with what they’ve learnt, but also with the process it took to get there – the hours spent in the classroom with other students and the teachers, as well as the time spent on extracurricular activities.
What has been the highlight of your time at ACG Strathallan?
This year as a whole.
What are you most looking forward to about university?
Meeting a whole bunch of new people and really coming out of my shell. Trying new things and being given a chance to live on my own – my first foray into the adult world.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Hopefully as the owner of a tech business which helps people. This could be around physical robotics or software applications – something that makes the world a better place.
The ACG Founders Scholarship, worth up to $75,000, will be awarded annually from 2018. Open to any ACG secondary school student in New Zealand who plans to commence a course of university study the following year, it recognises outstanding academic ability as well as personal qualities for future success, such as integrity, leadership, boldness of vision and exceptional drive, energy and a capacity for work.
