Welcome - It is my pleasure to introduce ACG Strathallan.

Located in Karaka, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, our campus provides the perfect environment for learning from Preschool to Year 13.

A challenging academic curriculum is complemented by exceptional pastoral care and a holistic learning programme that nurtures the development of the skills and qualities necessary to not only be successful but to also make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Our experienced team of dedicated educators puts the best interests of students at the heart of every decision at school and creates a supportive environment that excites and inspires students to push themselves to be the best that they can be.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Leaders

In our stimulating and positive school environment, teachers steer students towards personal fulfilment and success by fostering curiosity and questioning. Each member of our student body is encouraged to participate in the school's wide-ranging sports programme and enjoy the many opportunities for learning across our extensive creative arts offering.

As students progress through the school, teachers ensure they are well supported to manage appropriate levels of responsibility and autonomy. Our younger students benefit from the guidance they need to grow and accelerate their skills, while our senior students are equipped with the core competencies necessary to thrive in a global world.

A Globally-Respected International Curriculum

All ACG schools offer the Cambridge International curriculum, a globally recognised and widely respected programme which starts from the Primary Years. This is offered instead of NCEA, New Zealand's national curriculum. Students following this pathway gain internationally recognised qualifications (IGCSE and A-Levels), that lead to admissions to top universities in New Zealand and around the globe.

The Cambridge International curriculum is flexible, challenging, and inspiring. International in philosophy and approach, it can be tailored to local contexts, and as an integrated, holistic education programme it also ensures learners acquire the essential skills needed to succeed in higher education and in their future careers, wherever they are in the world.

ERO Report

The Education Review Office (ERO) is the government department that evaluates and reports on the education and care of children and young people in early childhood services and schools. ERO last reported on ACG Strathallan in 2021.

Specialist Primary School teachers
The Primary school curriculum suitably blends the New Zealand Curriculum and the Cambridge International Primary programmes. There is a deliberate, well-chosen focus on literacy, mathematics and collaborative learning in Primary School
Amazing support for College students - Students’ individual academic pathways are carefully planned to support them, including ongoing career guidance. The school is continuing to broaden pathways to respond to student interests. Students with identified additional learning needs are supported through well-considered tuition and suitable staffing
Great pastoral care - School leaders regularly monitor the provision of students’ academic progress and pastoral care. Students are involved at all levels of school life and enjoy the community and its resources for learning.
