ACG Strathallan College students have once again performed to the highest of their abilities and achieved amazing success in their recent A-Level assessments.

Facing the rigorous Cambridge International Curriculum examinations after an extended lockdown period could have been an extremely daunting prospect for our senior students. However, by combining our highly interactive online learning programme with the support and guidance of expert teachers, our Year 12 and 13 cohorts have continued to excel on the worldwide stage.

Consequently, the school is now celebrating another year of outstanding academic accomplishment.

AS-Level success (the initial stage of senior student study)

  • 92% pass rate
  • 32% of papers received A grades (80% or better)

A2-Level success (final stage of senior student study)

  • 100% pass rate
  • 42% of papers received A* or A grades (80% or better)

These outcomes illustrate remarkable performances across all subject areas, with students attaining spectacular A-Level pass rates for the seventh consecutive year.

The number of A grades awarded was also particularly pleasing, with a notable 4% increase in 2020’s AS-Level results and an admirable 9% improvement at A-Level.

"We are incredibly proud of the exceptional outcomes that our senior students achieved in their Cambridge examinations,” says ACG Strathallan Principal Danny O’Connor. “It was an especially challenging year with a large period of time spent learning online, and they have exceeded our expectations by attaining some of the best results the school has ever seen.

“Our senior students should be congratulated on their hard work and determination to do well in trying circumstances. They had an extraordinary level of support leading up to their end of year examinations, and I would like to acknowledge and thank our dedicated team of teachers for helping their students to achieve success in their respective subjects.”
