Cambridge recognises ACG students as ‘Outstanding Learners’

Highlighting a year of exceptional academic performances, College students at ACG Strathallan have reached new heights in the recent Cambridge International exams, including a perfect A-Level pass rate for the fourth consecutive year.

Mia and Aiko

Strathallan’s overall Cambridge pass rates for 2020 show an extremely high level of achievement.

  • A-Level: 100%
  • AS-Level: 91%
  • IGCSE: 92%

The number of top grades awarded across the Senior school was truly exceptional, with an extraordinary 53% of all IGCSE papers receiving an A* or A (80% or better) grade result.

Additionally, there was an 8% increase in the number of A* and A grades awarded for all A-Level papers and an 11% improvement at AS-Level.

Further underscoring our academic success, Strathallan students received five Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards including:

  • 2 Top in World
  • 3 Top in New Zealand*

Aiko Trapski and Mia Willis both took Top in the World honours for IGCSE Design & Technology – a truly remarkable accomplishment. Plus, a further three students received Top in New Zealand in their respective subjects: Blaine Mcdonald, IGCSE Information & Communication Technology; Gianni-Mia Attrill-Dowling, AS-Level Drama; and Tegan Allan, A-Level Digital Media and Design.

With the increasing number of Cambridge International students around the world and the unprecedented challenges of the past year, achieving such phenomenal results was a true testament to our dedicated teaching staff, the hard work and enthusiasm of our students, and the ongoing support of our parents.

“We are incredibly proud of the Cambridge results that our students achieved last year,” says ACG Strathallan Principal Danny O’Connor. “There were significant improvements at all levels, and it was pleasing to see our top performers being recognised by Cambridge International for their exceptional performance.”
