Throughout the changing "Traffic Light" settings of New Zealand’s Covid-19 response, we are here to make sure no child misses out on an excellent education.

We are open for learning.

Your child’s learning doesn’t need to stop

At ACG Strathallan, we focus on the individual needs of students – giving them choice, providing challenge and fostering a commitment to lifelong learning. As South Auckland’s top school, we pride ourselves on helping young people to achieve their full potential.

While safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our students, our school will remain open for on-site learning for all students during "Red" and "Orange" level settings, in line with the government's education sector protocols. Support for off-site learning will also be provided for those advised to stay at home.

ACG Strathallan takes the safety of our students and staff very seriously. Accordingly, our Covid-19 protection framework will continue to meet or exceed all Public Health and Ministry of Education regulations and guidelines.

In addition, to create the safest possible environment for on-campus education and provide certainty for parents, students and staff, we will primarily operate under "Red" level protocols, even when we are at "Orange" level on the traffic light settings. This will result in little difference in our approach if we move between "Orange" and "Red" levels.

We are open for learning across "Orange" and "Red" settings, offering:
  • A full daily curriculum of on-site, face-to-face classes for all year levels, allowing our students to progress with their studies and enjoy the familiar patterns and benefits of school-life.
  • A focus on engagement, collaboration and delivering lessons in a more creative and practical way to reinforce learning.
  • Active opportunities to participate in online practical classes in PE, music, art, technology, dance and speech and drama. However, do note that we may need to limit some community-based activities at “Orange” and “Red” settings.

Our priority is to deliver a full, dynamic, and interactive curriculum for all our students to ensure they do not miss out on a moment of their studies.

Furthermore, should the government increase Covid-19 safeguard measures and mandate the temporary closure of schools, we will implement an immediate and seamless transition back to virtual learning to make certain your child's education continues uninterrupted. Live online lessons for each class will be provided, where teachers constantly interact with students and are available to answer any questions or provide extra guidance.
